President Museveni says an embargo will destroy the local force needed to build a strong integrate army By FREDERIC MUSISI KAMPALA.   President Museveni has opposed a proposal by the UN Security Council to impose an arms embargo on South Sudan.   The UNSC had wanted an embargo targeting the principal protagonists in the South Sudan conflict, President Salva Kiir and his deputy Dr Riek Machar, as the only means of containing the volatile situation.   However, Mr Museveni says an embargo will instead plunge the world’s youngest nation into more violence like it was witnessed in Somalia. NUBA REFUGEES AT YIDA CAMP AT EXPRESS SATISFACTION WITH THIS YEAR,S PLANTING SEASON

NEWS IN YIDA  Thousands of refugees from the Nuba Mountains who are currently living in Yida camp in South Sudan’s Ruweng State said that they have managed to obtain better harvest during this year’s agricultural season. Speaking to Radio Tamazuj, several refugees said that the agricultural season this year is better compared to last year. The refugees pointed out that they are not depending on food rations distributed by humanitarian organizations at the camp. The Nuba refugees downplayed the UN refugee agency’s plan to relocate them to Pamir camp, saying those who were relocated to the new camp  couldn't  cultivate in Yida camp and that they are still depending on services provided by the organizations.

JUBA AND KHARTOUM AGREE TO EXTEND OIL DEAL BY 3 YEARS

Iam happy to announce that we have reached an agreement to extend the cooperation especially in the petroleum industry we will extend the agreement for three years.. South Sudan has reached a deal to extend the looming expiring oil a agreement with the Sudanese government. The deal came after two days of negotiations between the Government of south Sudan led by Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth, minister of petroleum and his Sudanese counterpart  in Khartoum.
