outh Sudanese refugees women living in Nakuru had found another way of killing a rat. It is very hard to survive in urban centers as a refugee when UNHCR (United Nation High commissioner for refugees) cannot give a hand whenever you needed a help. As a result of such situation, South Sudanese women group for Bed making had clearly found another way of helping themselves through “Bed Sheet making”.

Some women refuges who are living in Nakuru County has venture into business like other women in the region. Regional Journalists under the DW training in visited to find outskirts of Nakuru town what they do to survive as refugees women in the region Madam Amach with some women in kiti suburb of Nakuru town explain to us that the bed sheets making and sold them the process was tiresome because it took three months because it gone to the market.

Madam Amach was among the many south Sudanese people fled the conflict in south Sudan the found themselves in neighboring countries as Kenya is one of the host country who have thousands of refugees from south Sudan the different Nationalities found in Nakuru like Somalia community and south Sudanese community are major found in the Nakuru county as many communities share their experience with the

According to madam Amach says that we have registered by Department of Refugee Agency, Nakuru,our number as refugees from south Sudan has increase since the July aftermath of 7 to 11 of July 2016 the number of refugees from South Sudan is increasing daily and it is estimated the total number could be at least 110,000 in Nakuru alone .she continue highlighted the issues of identification cards is challenging to them as refugees as well we carried out our business in the region .

Police Harassment

Elizabeth Ayak is among 259,796 south Sudanese both women and men who I have experiences police Harassment since they try to moved around carried out their business for survive as Refugees living in Nakuru as well as kiti suburb of Nakuru few kilometers away from Nakuru town we are ask to produce our identification cards if we give them they need passports then alien documents that we have? We end up in police cell if we have no proper documents that can convenience.

WOMEN AND EDUCATION

Women says the majority of the South Sudanese living in Nakuru are struggling just like other women to add knowledge to their lives education like other people in the world but the situation could not allowed them to continue with the education in the camps that has results into movement to urban centers for better education for our children and ourselves for development of the country south Sudan if we return back home.
